Duotone
Duotone is the ongoing creative partnership of Teri Rommelmann and Rick Granados. Established in 2015, the studio began with a focus on hand-printed textiles and has since evolved into a multidisciplinary practice encompassing screen prints, sculptural works, photography, artist books, and experimental works on paper, wood, steel, and fabric. Drawing inspiration from modernist design, geometric abstraction, typography, and the landscapes of the American Southwest, the work explores the space between art, craft, and design. Working from their studio in Twentynine Palms, California, Rommelmann and Granados continue to create limited-edition and one-of-a-kind works that emphasize material, process, and a distinctly geometric visual language.
