The Darjeeling Limited
In collaboration with Art Director/Visual Supervisor Jemery Dawson, I led the design initiative at Stereo Type Haus to create a bespoke typeface for the cult film "The Darjeeling Limited" by Wes Anderson. Inspired by the whimsy of hand-painted lettering discovered on a train in India, our type family, consisting of three styles, exudes a quirky charm with intentional imperfections. The letterforms were meticulously crafted to capture a playful and whimsical spirit, infusing the marketing communication with character and a touch of cinematic eccentricity. This project seamlessly blended cultural authenticity with cinematic elegance, leaving an indelible mark on the visual identity of "The Darjeeling Limited."
