The Darjeeling Limited
While leading Stereo Type Haus, I collaborated with Art Director and Visual Supervisor Jeremy Dawson to develop a custom typeface for Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited. Inspired by hand-painted lettering found on trains and signage throughout India, the type family captures the irregularities and character of vernacular letterforms while functioning as a cohesive system for marketing and promotional applications. The resulting design became an integral part of the film's visual identity, extending its distinctive tone beyond the screen.
